Can you imagine a world without internet?. It’s kind a scary or what?. These days its hard to imagine the 'unthinkable' of life without the Internet, yet there are many who have grown up without the reliance and dependance upon it. How would todays society fare without the Internet, if it suddenly collapsed ?.
Now, The Internet has grown to become the most popular medium used for communication and sharing information. It is a network of computers that are connected to each other, allowing sharing of information. Most people have become used to relying totally on the Internet for almost everything they wish to do, whether in their personal or professional lives.
Life without the Internet would seem like a nightmare to most of us now. So what would happen if one fine morning, you woke up to find the Internet has no existence what so ever in your life? How drastically would your life be impacted and altered?.
I can say that i’m a person that impacted of the internet. The internet is so important for me because with internet i can streamlining access to information and making it easier for individuals to engage in online learning. Distance education programs make it easier for students, cutting down the need for travel and reducing the resources required for education.
The Internet has also made access to information and communication far easier. Rather than searching the library, i can access vast amounts of information from home computers. Healthcare is another field greatly affected by the advent of the Internet. Improvements in online connectivity and communication technology allow physicians much greater access to medical resources.
If there is no internet, I think people include me will come out of their houses and actually talk to their neighbors and friends. Students will inquire into the where abouts of their local library to find the information that they need. We will be waiting for our friendly postman to bring our mails and greeting cards. We would be spending time waiting in long lines in banks and other offices. Basically, life would be back to what it was before anyone had ever heard of the word 'Internet'.
At the end, The Internet was a technological advancement that excelled us into the 21st century and changed the way we socialised, did business and purchased goods. It paved the way to the future and still has many exciting advancements ahead of it’s self. Witnessing the loss of the Internet is probably very unlikely, but either way I’m quite sure as a human race we’d adapt and persevere as we have done for thousands of years. Those who grew up with the Internet well established around them simply can’t comprehend life without it. There are however many of us who practiced life before it’s time and have experienced a life without the Internet.
