Positive impact and negative impact of internet

As we know that the internet has created a revolution very unpredictable in the world of technology ,information and communication. Definision the internet (Interconection networking)  itself is an global communications network and connects millions and even billions of computer network with different types, using a type of communication such as telephone, satellite and other. Initially the internets is a computer network established by the US Department of Defense in 1969 through a project called ARPANET. The initial mission of the project was initially only for military purposes only, but gradually evolving and can be enjoyed by all people. The creation of the internet has brought significant change in various aspects of human life. In addition, the internet has also spawned a new world that has a pattern, pattern one the different characteristics with the real world.

There are some aspects that affected positive and negative of internet usage

Posistive impacts

1. Social aspects

• Facilitate inter-personal communication

When we want to communicate with people far away it’s easy to do it, now many social media such as LINE,Whatsapp, etc. The social media provides many features to enable us to communicate.

• Saving time and costs role in communication

We can send messages quickly and cost is not too expensive is by using social media

• Makes it easy to get the latest information.

The information not only we can get from television or newspaper, but can also be obtained from internet. For example, we can search on Google news has happened in the world.

2. Economic aspects

• Daily needs now sold on the internet

Get those needs we don’t need to come in the store, we can use the internet and can order what we need

• Sevices online

If we will travel, we can order online services such as GoJek,GoCar,etc.

• Creation of websites and blogs that can make money

Some who has a talent in the field of journalism they could take advantage of his talent by sending their written works to be some news websites, if his writing was nice to get paid from the owner’s website.

3. Education aspect

• To help find the reference

In making assigments often we need a references. The reference is not only obtained from books, but we can get from the internet.

• Facilitate access to research results online

Students majoring in conducting lab would require a lot of reseachscientists, to compare the theoretical and pratical results of these students.

Some positive impact above can feel by myself, like communication through social media, online shop I have ever made with my friend, from theuse of my online shop to additional money for the puposes of my own life, and the latter makes it easy to access the results of research. I’m studying in majors that many do lab work is certainly very needed on research results from scientists or research that has been done other students to know how to do lab work to be performed.

Negative impact

2. Economic aspects

• Fraud

One example of the fraud on the internet, owner online shop only promote after consumers believe then perform payment transactions online shop but the ownwer didn’t send the goods that consumes want.

• Make offline store business into decline

More people shop online on the internet to enable consumers to shop their needs, consumers don’t need  come to the store to shop so they will make an effort to descrease the online store.

3. Education aspects

• Pornography

So that students aren’t accessing pornography sites, then there must be a positive education on internet use.

• Addicted

Addicted to playing game online or too addicted to using social media, the negative impact of students lazy to learn and procrastinate in doing the task.

Some negative impacts of the above. There have ever tasted like overuse of social media, it makes me lazy to learn and procrastinate in doing social media for more entertainment and make me don’t get bored. From the impacts of a previously described are so many benefits of the internet, but on the other there is also the negative impact of the internet, we should minimize the negative impacts that cause harm to themselves or to other people.
